Just Thoughts and Nothing Else

Remember the saying: "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade?" Well to hell with that! Whoever told life to give me anything...I was taught at a young age, if you want respect, earn it! You want anything more, take it. Too many times in life people saunter their  way though mediocrity. Only to find themselves looking back in disbelief that they have not progressed any further in life. We spend our lives trying to get ahead, keeping up with the Jones es and running from soccer field to soccer field. All the while, never closer to success than when we started. Why? Is it because we are trying too hard? Do we think that if we work hard and be good, karma will take care of the rest?

I used to. That is until I threw life in a little box, sat on the lid, and figured out what I should really be doing. Take what I want! Make my own path in life. Too many times I found myself walking down the same road everyone else has just wondering when it was my turn. Well, not any more. I jumped the curb and I am running through fresh grass. There are three priorities in life now: Family, Focus, and Re-invent.

The first two are simple, and critical. Family is everything and Focus on life. But, re-invent? Yes, re-invent. Create your own path in life. Take what you want. How many times have you heard "don't re-invent the wheel?" That's just silly. If Edison didn't re-invent the way we lit our homes, we would still be living by candlelight. If Ford was satisfied with the previous mode of transportation, where would we be? How about Bill Gates, the list goes on and on.

So I'll leave you with this, love and cherish your family. Focus on what you want for your family in life and Re-invent yourself to accomplish those things. Jump the curb people and if life gives you lemons, throw them back.
