"My Last Post"

I created this blog to help me get through my day to day after some very not so great moments in my life.
I think I needed to heal and I think I needed to express all that was within me trying to make someone listen!
My life has never been a bed of roses but neither has it been a bed of thorns!
After brain surgery, after the death of my husband, after his business failing because of this economy, after experiencing my first date with another man in 40 years, and after the long process of the "on the road" to losing my home, I have to make the best of what is the left of my life.
I don't know where I'll go, or what decisions I will have to make for my future and all that is in store for me, but whatever it is, whatever I have to do, I will keep going forward! I will look back and reflect, but I will never live where I've ever been before! I will strive to make each day a little different from today with the hopes that if I smile and do good things that I will be rewarded someday with happiness and peace beyond my wildest expectations!

I live these days with the knowledge that my children and grandchildren have food in their bellies, smiles on their faces, and laughter bursting out of every seam.

Job Security

I've just learned something again about the economy and our government who is handling everything, and I don't mean Obama for you haters out there, I mean about Congress and the Senate.  I mean about what the politicians and what they think is appropriate to do or say to "The President of the United States" .
I don't believe the disrespect I see to that office or our President!

I knew that if in this election more Republicans got into office that there would be things happening as far as fighting the democrats, but what does that mean to US?  It means that now that you've done this and voted for this upset in the house and Senate, you will watch our government only vote on the things that will benefit them!  There will be a stalemate when it comes to running our government!  Will there be anything done for the ordinary people who keep losing their jobs, or their homes, absolutely not!  They'll be too busy fighting anything that comes through from our President and the Democrats!  Will the elderly get the care they need?
Will people on Disability get what they need?  Will Medicare be taken off the freeze so the elderly and disabled can now afford the higher insurance payments that they have been plagued with while members of the house and senate keep giving themselves raises?  ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Will my friends and family members get their jobs back?  Will we continue to see outsourcing within our companies to the extent that all the Americans who have been born and raised here lose thier jobs?
I have a friend and a few family members that have lost their jobs just recently and one of them was due to outsourcing within the company, and she was working in this company for 23 years!  The big corporations have managed to hire people from India to do the work that Americans have done for years and now after all this time and now that she is older (50's) she loses her job and has to start over again!  This company is Jewel/Osco that was bought out by Albertson's.
Then other family members have lost their jobs because of lay offs and companies needing to downsize.  But they lay off people that are getting older and making them start over again as well.  Especially when they are in these companies some of them since their 30'S
They all have families!  What do we do anymore, do we continue to just go with the flow of things and let our government keep pushing us around?
People losing homes, people losing respect for our government (and truly understandable in a sense), people with children to take care of.   Then what will ever be done now that they have decided to fight everything that we need to push forward in our economy?
I know that I am at a loss and I don't have the solution either, but maybe if I had a real say in things my suggestions would be to Fire them!  Every last one of them!  Start over and have common folk run our government because they truly know what the people need and want because they've had to live with what our government keeps doing to us and all the while they are doing these things, they keep giving themselves a safe and secure future while the American people keep getting the shaft!

This is my opinion and one thing I am sure of, I am still entitled to that!

"Thoughts"

Sometimes when I watch people it's because I love to try and figure out what they might be thinking, or what just made them smile, or even just walk with their heads down.

How they seem to go deep in thought and have glazed over eyes for a brief moment and what was it that they just thought of that made them look that way.

Wouldn't it be nice sometimes to just be able to hear people's thoughts? To listen and help if you could?

Just listen to their thoughts when they start to smile a bit and share that special moment with them? I know, invasion of privacy to say the least!

I don't know about you, but when I sit deep in thought, I think it would be kind of fun if someone could actually know what I'm thinking and share with me too.
I love people, I love to watch them, and I always love to share!
I also understand that thoughts are Private, and maybe we are better off not knowing, but it's also an interesting concept.
