Just Thoughts and Nothing Else

My name is Jan,

I have 4 children and 4 more through my childrens marriages.  I have 12 beautiful, wonderful, exciting, intelligent and loving grandchildren.

I live in a little town of 13,500 called Campton Township out near the St.Charles/Geneva area.

I will always be a mother first, grandmother second and hopefully someone's soulmate someday again in my lifetime.  I am also a very good friend and I cherish my friends dearly.  I am my mother's daughter and my sisters sister and an Aunt to her children.  I am an aunt to my deceased husbands sisters children too.

I was married for 38 years and although we were never the perfect couple, we knew each other well and loved each other a lifetime!  It's been two and 1/2 years since my husband has passed and I miss him tremendously!

I love life without hesitation and wish to live it to the fullest!  I used to have what I called my list of things to do before I go to heaven, and now since the movie, I call it my bucket list.  I wish to do anything and everything that I can physically do to complete this list.

I often wonder when looking in the mirror, "where did I go and who is that starring back at me", but that's okay I guess because I can't change that horrible trick mother nature is playing on me.
I guess we all get older and this thing about growing old gracefully is a crock!  I am going to buy every single product out there that I believe might just do the trick at making me lose one or two wrinkles.  Lifts without knives and erase the dark circles so I stop looking like the aged Raccoon too......

I miss my life as it once was and wish I could change so many things about today's new life but since I can't,  I will try and make the best of all I am given and take only what is given to me freely.

My motto is breathe, love, laugh, and never regret your actions because they will be the consequences of your tomorrows!                 And;
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "Whoo Hoo, what a ride!"
