Just Thoughts and Nothing Else

Sometimes when you think about "Time standing Still" you say to yourself, but it can't!  The clock is always ticking and the time seems to get away from you most days.  I believe this to be true when you are young and raising a family and working and trying to get ahead for yourself in life but I also think as you get older, time starts to seem like from one minute to the next it took an eternity!  Maybe it's just when your life has already gotten away from you in a sense.   Maybe it's your mind playing tricks on you in order for you to believe that
in some way you have stopped the clock so it won't get away or move any faster because you want to savor every single second of it!  I believe that it's "Living in the moment"  I believe that time can stand still for a brief moment if only in your mind.   Do you remember the moments in the movies where there is a crowded scene and all of a sudden the two main characters in the movie suddenly are zoomed in and they can only see each other?  That is what I mean about time standing still at least for oneself!  It's like they really do only see each other and no one else is in that room, or place or moment in time! 
I find myself standing in those moments from time to time now but at times they make me sad, and at other
times I am so happy I can hardly stand it!  I am appreciating the moments as if I will never get them back again and maybe it's about stopping to "smell the roses".

I enjoyed some moments like this yesterday when I went to Lake Geneva for the day with some of my grand-kids and my daughter in law who just happens to be a very best friend too!  As I watched the children play,  and watched the ripples of water softly and gently brushing against the little ones legs, my time, my moment, stood still.   I was trying to capture to save forever in my memory, all the little details of the day! Trying to capture that still picture in my mind forever, of that moment, that smile, that giggle of glee coming from all the children and the unspoiled innocence of it all!
