Just Thoughts and Nothing Else

It was a beautiful fall day yesterday and I went to enjoy a walk along the river in Batavia.
Every time I get the chance to walk with friends I do.  It's almost as if that moment in time just becomes more special because you had someone to talk to,someone to walk with, and share in the feeling of pure joy just because of the beauty of it all.

Nature is such a beautiful, and mysterious thing no matter what season it is.  To watch the river glistening because of the way the sun was hitting it made me reflect a little of the past.
You seem to go back in time, to a place of peace and serenity.  A place where nothing was out of balance and all was well with the world!

We walked and enjoyed the soft breeze along the river and we went in and out of some of the old buildings and historical sites available to us along our path.  We even went in a home that has been turned into a antique shop on the first floor of this old home and the upper two floors are still being inhabited by the owners as their place of residency.  It was a beautiful painted lady!


We walked a little further and enjoyed this beautiful old church that I have admired for so many years now and wonder about the craftsmanship of it.  When it was built, what tools did they use, etc.?

Life is too short, so you must try to enjoy being "in the moment," no matter how short the moment is.  js
